Chapter V - The Legislature

Overview

Chapter V (sections 47 to 129) provides for the legislature. Part I establishes the National Assembly (the Senate and the House of Representatives), its composition, powers, procedure, elections and the qualifications and disqualifications for membership. Part II establishes the House of Assembly of each State and makes corresponding provision at State level.
